A sample of the rules inside
Every rule is a single, concrete instruction someone can follow on day one — written by people who know how this work actually goes wrong.
Vehicle & tools
- Walk around the vehicle each morning: tires, lights, leaks, and load secure; log issues before driving.
- Restock the truck against the standard parts list at the end of each day, not the start of the next.
- Tools are checked, charged, and in their assigned spot before leaving the shop; report lost or broken tools the same day.
- Keep the cab and the back workable — a customer will see the inside of your truck, and it says who we are.

Arrival & customer contact
- Call or text the customer with your ETA before leaving the previous job; call again if you'll be more than 15 minutes off.
- At the door: introduce yourself by name and company, and confirm what they called about before touching anything.
- Protect the work area: shoe covers or drop cloths inside occupied homes, and move fragile items out of the way (with the customer's OK).
- Diagnose first, then explain what you found, what it costs, and get the customer's approval BEFORE the work starts.

On the job
- Work to code, full stop. If existing work isn't to code, tell the customer and document it — don't build on top of it silently.
- Confirm whether the job needs a permit before starting; if it does, no work until the office confirms it's handled.
- Photograph before, during, and after — especially anything you'll close up inside a wall or ceiling.
- Record materials used on the work order as you use them, not from memory at the end of the day.
